WHAT: Open Auditions for JACOB MARLEY’S CHRISTMAS CAROL
WHEN: Saturday, October 13, 1:00 (Call-backs on Oct 14th, at a time TBD)
WHERE: Civic Center Music Hall (lower level), City Space Theatre (201 N. Walker in downtown OKC)
HOW: Bring headshot and resume. The audition will consist of directed cold readings from the script.
WHO: We are casting 4 actors (casting is flexible but will probably be 3 men, 1 woman). Actors will portray multiple characters in the story; so performers of any age, type, ethnicity are encouraged to audition.

Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol by Tom Mula: Saturday, October 13, 1:00 pm – Cast includes 4 performers (3 m, 1 w) who stretch their acting muscles to portray all of the characters in the story of Jacob Marley a doomed spirit who must change Scrooge’s heart in exchange for redemption. This irreverant and unique twist on the Dickens classic will be presented in City Space Theatre December 7-23 (a three-weekend run). This production will be directed by Doug Van Liew. Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley: Saturday, December 15, 1:00 pm – Casting 4 women, 2 men. Roles include the three Magrath sisters Lennie (mid-thirties; the surrogate “mama” of her syblings; the put-upon sister who stayed home to care for her over-bearing and unpleasant grandparents), Meg (the middle child, a guilt-ridden hopeless romantic and compulsive liar who should have made it as a singer but works accounts at a dog food company instead), and Babe (hiding a deep depression, the popular former beauty queen who always followed the rules until her bully-husband’s abuse became too much; mid-twenties); Chick (a holier-than-thou relative with small-town society connections, enjoys taunting the sisters and pecking at their flaws; mid-thirties); Doc (Meg’s former boyfriend now married, a small-town doctor with a quiet passion for Meg; late-thirties), and Barnette Lloyd (late-twenties, a fresh-out-of-law-school small-town lawyer whose awkward manner disguises his sharpness and resourcefulness, nursing a crush on Babe since high school; late twenties). Bug by Tracy Letts: Casting 2 w, 3 men. This production is scheduled to be performed in City Space Theatre March 15-23, and will be directed by Ghostlight Theatre Club Artistic Director Lance Garrett. (Check back later for more details.)
